KPA Construction Regiments Leave for New Theatres for Transformation

Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Officers and men of the construction regiments at all levels of the Korean People's Army, who presented their first edifices before the country and its people in the vanguard of implementing the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, are advancing into new theaters. They worked miracles of simultaneously building the first entities for regional development in 20 cities and counties of the country in less than one year after the start of groundbreaking. Last year, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un attended the groundbreaking ceremony for regional-industry factories in Songchon County to encourage the officers and men of the construction regiments at all levels and personally hand over the flags of regiments. His trust served as nourishment that trained the soldier-builders to be creators of transformation for the people and pioneers of a new era of civilization and as a source of strength that made them demonstrate the fighting spirit, offensive disposition and creative mettle peculiar to the revolutionary army. With the noble intention of the great brilliant commander kept in their mind, the service personnel of the construction regiments made strenuous efforts with the will to devote all their soul to the struggle for keeping the promise made by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea with the people and to the sacred cause of loyalty and patriotism for turning their native places into prosperous ones and bringing about a new civilization and new life for the people. Thanks to the patriotic devotion of soldier-builders who have cherished pure conscience in hearty response to the call of the Party Central Committee, a fairyland of the times was opened in which the local areas changed and the auspicious events of inauguration of regional-industry factories were heard one after another from the outset of the new year, making the whole country seethe with excitement and joy. Cities and counties were filled with enthusiasm to give warm send-off to the genuine army of the people and patriot units leaving for new theatres again. But, the officers gave silent marching orders at the barracks of construction regiments at all levels at early dawn when the residents fell asleep. The soldiers left for the new theatres of creation and construction where the Party is calling and the people are waiting.
