Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK on Friday dedicate editorials to the Socialist Constitution Day.

The DPRK people have raised the dignity and might of our state higher this year with the firm and positive pioneering spirit and staunch and thorough action, full of confidence in sure victory under the leadership of the great Party. They cherish the absolute value of the DPRK Constitution which reliably guarantees the dynamic advance of building a powerful socialist country, says Rodong Sinmun in an editorial, and goes on:

The new era of self-respect and prosperity, the era of our state-first principle, has been opened on this land and the DPRK has come to more brilliantly display itself as the most powerful and promising socialist entity, which advances the revolution and construction in its own way and by its own efforts, achieving prosperity and civilization with the patriotic loyalty of all the people as the motive force. This is unthinkable without the DPRK Constitution.

Our constitution set the preface as an independent major component and clearly stipulated the need to hold President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal leaders of Juche Korea and defend and develop the ideas and exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea and thus accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche.

Only when the Kim Il Sung - Kim Jong Il Constitution is held fast to as a powerful weapon, the leader's ideology and intentions can be maintained as oneness in the struggle and life of all members of society and the political and ideological might, the most powerful one of our state, be consolidated in every way.

The constitution of the DPRK clearly stipulates in a legal way the lifeline of state building that can never be conceded in any case, and the principles of giving all the people the position and role of masters of everything substantially and providing all welfare to them.

The solidity and vitality of our state and social system have been further consolidated and the national power and the state's dignity remarkably enhanced in the dynamic struggle for building a thriving nation. This clearly proves the advantages and vitality of the constitution of the DPRK.

All sectors and units should work as required by the constitution of the DPRK and all the people should discharge their civic duty, glorifying the honor of being citizens of the DPRK. Herein lies a sure guarantee for boosting our potentials able to overcome any difficulties and our peculiar self-development capability more rapidly in many-sided and multiple manner and demonstrating to the whole world the dynamic advance of the DPRK toward the comprehensive national rejuvenation.
