Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- The whole country is filled with boundless yearning for President Kim Il Sung, the peerlessly great sage and the father of the nation, and an atmosphere of deeply mourning him on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his demise. The President performed great exploits to be eternally recorded in human history by devoting his whole life to the country and the people, the Juche revolution and the sacred cause of global independence. The Korean people have steadily covered the path of sacred succession and the building of a rich country with strong army for decades, adding glory to their noble title - descendants of President Kim Il Sung - and giving fuller play to their single-minded loyalty. Their profound reverence is now oriented to the sacred temple of Juche, accompanied by their iron will to realize the President's desire for building a powerful country without fail under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on July 8, the greatest national memorial day. Accompanying him were Kim Tok Hun, Jo Yong Won, Choe Ryong Hae and Ri Pyong Chol, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, other members of the central leadership body of the Party, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly, officials of the WPK Central Committee and commanding officers of the armed forces organs. A floral basket from the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. Also placed at the statues were floral baskets in the names of the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK. Kim Jong Un, together with other visitors, paid high tribute to the statues of the great leaders. At the hall where President Kim Il Sung lies in state, he made a deep bow of best wishes for immortality to the President who paved the path of prosperity for eternally glorifying the dignity and prestige of socialist Korea and consolidated the eternal foundation for the cause of Juche and the building of a thriving nation, going through the untrodden path of the arduous revolution with his outstanding idea, leadership and undying patriotic devotion. All the participants made a solemn pledge to bring earlier a new victory of the revolution through redoubled efforts and strenuous action in the vanguard of the sacred struggle for the comprehensive rejuvenation and revolutionary development of the socialist state, remaining faithful to the ideology and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un with a single mind of intense loyalty and patriotism.
